Age 77, Shenandoah, Va.
Karen Sue Monger, 77, of Shenandoah Va, passed away on July 5, 2024. Ms. Monger was born February 10, 1947 in Harrisonburg Va, and was the daughter of the late Joseph Artie Monger and Gladys “Peggy” Marie Lilly Monger.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Joseph “Joe” Artie Monger Jr. and Claude “Tommy” Thomas Monger.
Ms. Monger was a devoted attendee of Shenandoah Assembly of God, where she would worship the Lord with her family and friends. Ms. Monger also enjoyed watching game shows on television, including Family Feud with Richard Dawson. Karen also helped care for her younger brothers and nephew.
Karen is survived by her sister, Sharon “Midge” Rosser; sister-in-law, Sandy Monger; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family that she loved dearly.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at the Shenandoah Assembly of God with Carter Dean officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are being handled by the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton, Va.
