July 23, 1911 — The “double header” between the Luray and Elkton ball teams on Monday resulted in a victory for Luray in both cases, the score being 8 to 2 in the morning and 8 to 0 in the evening. Rufus Kibler pitched the morning games and Harry Jenkins the evening game.

Tuesday’s games with Winchester resulted in a score of 12 to 7 in the morning and 10 to 4 in the later game, Luray being the winner.

The Luray team, uniformly victorious the first two days, met a Waterloo at the hands of Shenandoah on Wednesday morning, the score standing 16 to 6 in favor of the visitors. Printz pitched a great game for the visitors. He gave way to Maxwell in the seventh inning. Shiner, the silver-headed Winchester veteran, went in the box for Luray, giving way to Kibler later on.

Front Royal won the game Thursday morning by a score of 4 to 2.
