Bulldogs place five among top 12 at Frazier Farms
Among the 45 runners competing, the Bulldogs were able to place five among the top 12. Those earning All-Region honors include:
- 4th place — Senior Briana Plum (22:18.2)
- 5th place — Junior Isabel Rizek (23:12.2)
- 8th place — Junior Maya Jenkins (23:54.3)
- 11th place — Junior Carolina Wood (24:04.5)
- 12th place — Freshman Natalie Ridgeway (24:14.1)
Two other freshmen rounding out the team also placed well among the field of 45, with Chloe Catron finishing in 18th with a time of 25:46.7, while Amaya Sours finished 25th in 27:03.4.
Luray won the team title after posting 15 points below second-place Galileo High School and a full 43 points below nearby Riverheads. Host school Altavista Combined School came in fourth. Timing and results were provided by Blue Ridge Timing.
