Age 94, Elkton, Va.
Lloyd Wilbert Lam, 94, of Elkton, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024 at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg. He was born June 3, 1930 in Rockingham County and was the son of the late Journey Lam and Amy Breeden.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Marie “Knott” Lam; brothers, Orba Lam, Wilmer Lam, Faley Lam and Gilmer Lam; sisters, Bertie Taylor, Arlene McMillen and Edna Bates.
Lloyd served in the United States Army in the Korean War. He was employed with the National Park Service for many years.
He is survived by his nephew, Donnie Taylor and wife, Martha; niece, Joyce Snell and husband, Grey; sister-in-law, Wanda Knott Six and husband, George; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A Graveside Service will be conducted 11 a.m., Monday December 30, 2024, at Leake’s Chapel Church Cemetery in Stanley, with Pastor Danny Herring officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton, Va.
