LURAY, Dec. 16 — The Warriors of Mt. Carmel Christian Academy moved to 3-2 on the season with a dominating 33-14 win over Regents last week in girls basketball.

A third quarter surge, featuring a 16-0 run by Mt. Carmel and a three-pointer at the buzzer by Darbi Hunsberger, secured the win after only a two-point lead at halftime. Hunsberger and Haelyn Morris both contributed a game-high 12 points each. Post player Carlee Campbell was able to add eight points.

The Warriors forced more than 10 steals during the game.

Mt. Carmel entered the game following a narrow 35-33 loss to Fresta the week before.

MCCA will resume play after the holidays.
