Chicken

Page Valley News highlights adoptable pets

from the Page County Animal Shelter to showcase their personality.

This is Chicken!

Chicken is an approximately 4-year-old, neutered male and is quite the character! His unusual name is due to his coming in with a unique scent that smelled faintly like KFC. Chicken was found as a stray and was in a bit of rough shape. After days of love and care he is making a speedy recovery alongside his roommate Burnt Chicken. They both love to serenade all who enter their room in greeting.

Chicken is a quirky cat with a personality as unique as his name! This delightful feline is known for his playful spirit and amusing antics. Chicken loves to explore every nook and cranny, often finding the most unexpected places to lounge and observe his kingdom. He has a soft side too and enjoys gentle head rubs and will purr contentedly as he asks for more treats.

Unfortunately, Chicken tested positive for Feline immunodeficiency virus, also known as FIV. FIV is very similar to AIDS in humans and is sometimes referred to as feline AIDS. FIV just means that Chicken has a weakened immune system and is more vulnerable to illnesses than other cats. The good news is cats with FIV often live long, happy, and fulfilling lives!
