Age 90, Elkton, Va.
Mildred Lucille Harvey Shifflett, 90, of Elkton, passed away Monday, February 17, 2025 in Harrisonburg. Mrs. Shifflett was born May 11, 1934 in Greene County, and was the daughter of the late George J. and Louise Roach Harvey.
She attended the Baptist Church in her youth and most recently attended Shenandoah Assembly of God Church in Shenandoah. She was a member of the Elkton Neighborhood Watch and had worked at Genie, Wrangler and Padgett Manufacturing. She retired from the Dollar general Store in Elkton as a Supervisor.
On November 12, 1954, she married Lawrence T. Shifflett Sr., who passed away on December 12, 2002. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her two sons, George Shifflett and Lawrence T. Shifflett Jr. and her brother, George A. Harvey and his wife, Harriet.
Mrs. Shifflett is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sharon Shifflett; grandchildren, George C. Shifflett and wife, Sara Sipe, Dustin Shifflett, Stacie Shifflett and companion, David Rose; great-grandchildren, Hannah Zirk and husband, Blake, Dillon Shifflett, Noah Shifflett, Kayla Shifflett, Devon Shifflett, Erica Shifflett, Alyssa Shifflett; great-great-grandchildren, Camden and Aniyah Zirk.
A Funeral Service will be conducted 11 a.m., Friday, February 21, 2025 at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton with Pastor Carter Dean officiating. Burial will follow at the Mount Olivet Cemetery in McGaheysville.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, February 20, 2025 at the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
