STANLEY — Page County 4-H has two livestock clubs that are currently accepting new members. Each club is open to any youth interested in learning about livestock and/or showing a 4-H project at the county fair.
Those interested in the Senior Livestock 4-H Club that meets on the first Monday of each month, should contact Josh Parlett 540-244-1655 for more details concerning time and location.
Those interested in the Junior Stockman Club that meets on the third Monday of each month, should contact Stephanie Breeden at 540-742-8183 for more details concerning time and location.
To enroll in a 4-H livestock project for 2024-2025, youth must be at least age 9 by Sept. 30, 2025. A youth who turns age 19 by Dec. 31, 2024, is no longer age eligible to be enrolled as a 4-H member.
There is no fee to join 4-H, but all expenses related to the project chosen are the responsibility of the child/family. The enrollment deadline for the year is Nov. 1, 2024.
Virginia Cooperative Extension is a partnership of Virginia Tech, Virginia State University, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and local governments.
