Page County 4-H livestock clubs now accepting new members

STANLEY — Page County 4-H has two livestock clubs that are currently accepting new members. Each club is open to any youth interested in learning about livestock and/or showing a 4-H project at the county fair.

Those interested in the Senior Livestock 4-H Club that meets on the first Monday of each month, should contact Josh Parlett 540-244-1655 for more details concerning time and location.

Those interested in the Junior Stockman Club that meets on the third Monday of each month, should contact Stephanie Breeden at 540-742-8183 for more details concerning time and location.

To enroll in a 4-H livestock project for 2024-2025, youth must be at least age 9 by Sept. 30, 2025. A youth who turns age 19 by Dec. 31, 2024, is no longer age eligible to be enrolled as a 4-H member.

There is no fee to join 4-H, but all expenses related to the project chosen are the responsibility of the child/family. The enrollment deadline for the year is Nov. 1, 2024.

Virginia Cooperative Extension is a partnership of Virginia Tech, Virginia State University, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and local governments.

  1. Also, 24 Carrots 4H Horse club is accepting new members as well! Youth must be 4-H age (turning 9 before September 30, 2025) and no horse ownership is required! We meet the 4th Monday of the month at 7 PM! Our next meeting is Monday, October 28 at 7 PM at River Hill Stables! Contact me or Lisa Atwood for more info!
