March 7, 1966 — Page County High School won the Massanutten F.F.A. Federation Crops judging contest held at Central High. The Page County team won first place with a score of 957 points; Strasburg, second, with 950 points; Luray, third with 940; Central, fourth with 939; and Stonewall, fifth with 842 points.
David Harper of Page County was high individual in the contest with 325 points; Denny Renner, Strasburg, second, with 319 points; Carroll Campbell, Page, third, with 318 points, and James Hilliard and Lawrence Cubbage, of Page, tied for fourth with 317 points.
