
Age 90, Elkton, Va.
Paul Isaac Judd, 90, of Elkton, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025 at his home. He was born December 4, 1934 in Page County, Virginia and was the son of the late Charles Judd, Sr. and Eula Maude Snyder.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Judd, Jr. and John L. Judd; sisters, Nellie Lee Judd Comer, Rena Maude Judd McDaniel, Mattie June Judd, Nancy Catherine Judd Deavers, Bettie L. Judd Lam and Lois Esther Judd Hughes; grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Hammer, Nicole Lynn Shifflett and Clinton Lam; great-grandson, Dakota Lee Marston.
Paul proudly served in the United States Navy. He retired from Bond Lumber after many years of service and also worked for Food Lion. He was an avid wrestling fan. Paul loved to crochet; a gift his mother taught him. Paul was a giving soul; gifting many of the things he crocheted to friends, family and local Dr.’s offices, which included hats, animals and blankets. He loved crossword, word search puzzles and fishing. He loved kids and spending time with his family. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
On February 14, 1977, he married his wife, Beulah McDaniel Judd, who survives, they had been together since 1962.
Also surviving are sons, Gary W. Hammer and companion, Joy, Larry E. Hammer and wife, Vicky; daughters, Paula J. Hensley and husband, Barry, Carolyn H. Ahern and husband, Jeff, Judy H. Lam and husband, Robert, Kathy H. Shifflett and husband, Roy; brother, James D. “Dave” Judd; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A Funeral Service will be conducted 2 p.m., Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Church of Solsburg in Elkton with Pastor Clyde Plum officiating. Burial to follow at Elk Run Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
