Age 76, Shenandoah, Va.
Paul Jackson “Jack” Stepp, 76, of Shenandoah, Va., passed away on January 24, 2024. A son of the late Paul Jennings and Macie Steele Stepp, he was born April 7, 1947, in Harrisonburg.
Jack served in the United States Navy and attended Virginia Commonwealth University. He was a talented and gifted carpenter and tradesman. Jack could frame houses, do trim work, measure and cut wood effortlessly. He built many houses in the Valley that still stand today with beautiful craftmanship.
His home church was Shenandoah Baptist Church and he was a member of the Shenandoah Moose Lodge #2176. Jack had an affinity for fishing and hunting.
Surviving are daughter, Misty Sampson of Harrisonburg; sister, Margaret “Suzie” Steinis of Bridgewater; sister-in-law, Elizabeth “Susie” Stepp of Shenandoah; several nephews, nieces and extended family.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Stepp and brother-in-law, Jim Steinis.
The family will commemorate his life privately.
