Peggy Sue Snyder passed away on February 26, 2026 at her home in Shenandoah, Va. surrounded by her family.
Peggy was born July 5, 1983 to Robert (Skip) Hurst and Margaret (Margie) Hurst in Manassas, Va. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, grandfathers, many uncles, aunts, and extended family.
Peggy was married to Joey L. Snyder Sr. for 14 years. She is survived by Skip and Margie (mother and father), her sister Frances (Steven), her children, Courtknee McJilton (Daniel) Mandy Wooddell (Elijah) Angel, Destiny, Joey Jr, and her youngest Brandon. She was a grandmother to Aurora Jane McJilton, Scarlett Mae McJilton, Elijah Lamar Wooddell Jr.
There will be no services held at this time. Peggy is being cremated and will come home and rest with her family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton, Va.
