Joint public hearing Nov. 12 for request to vacate alley on Liberty Avenue

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

CLOSING AND VACATION OF ALLEY

TOWN OF SHENANDOAH

TOWN COUNCIL / PLANNING COMMISSION

Pursuant to Section 15.2-2006 Code of Virginia, as amended, the Shenandoah Town Council will hold a Joint Public Hearing with the Planning Commission on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., in the Town Hall, 426 First Street, Shenandoah, Virginia, to consider the following:

A request by John W. Gordon, property owner, to close and vacate an alley between his two properties located at 119 Liberty Avenue and 121 Liberty Avenue for a distance of approximately 170 feet.

Copies of the application for closing and vacating the alley, the Town of Shenandoah Code, and the Code of Virginia are available for examination in the Shenandoah Town Hall, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The public is encouraged to attend the hearing and express their views on this application to close and vacate this alley.

NOTE: Any hearing impaired individuals who need an interpreter must notify the Town Office at least seven (7) days prior to the public hearing.
