LURAY, Dec. 26 — Page County sophomore Ali Purdham hit five shots from beyond the arc and recorded a total of 18 points in a 59-52, come-from-behind, Bull Run District win over Central on Jan. 3. The win moved the Panthers to 3-0 and a first-place tie with Strasburg in the Bull Run.
A 55-51 loss to Clarke (2-2, 9-3) on the road Friday night in Berryville slipped the Panthers into second, but Page County’s (3-1, 7-6) biggest game so far comes this Friday night.
After hosting Rappahannock (2-2, 8-2) on Tuesday night, the Panthers will host district-leading Strasburg (4-0, 10-2) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 12.
