November 15, 1987 — The Wooden Lamb, a restaurant under construction on Va. 646 west of Luray along the Shenandoah River, will feature a variety menu including lamb, chicken, catfish, steaks and prime rib, according to Max Foltz, the restaurant’s developer. Foltz said he does not have a set date for the restaurant’s opening, but noted the establishment — which figures to seat about 80 patrons — plans to serve dinners only and cater to county residents. Foltz may consider expansion after a year of operation, but “I want to crawl before I walk.”
