December 26, 1891 — Eld. John H. Menefee rode to town last Wednesday morning, and hitching his horse went into the store room of Landram Bros. to make some purchases. Mr. Landram, noticing him standing near the counter, insisted on his taking a seat. He declined, however, saying that he preferred to stand.
A few minutes after this Mr. Landram’s attention was attracted to him again by a strange noise he was making, as though he desired to call someone, and seeing that something was wrong with him ran to him in time to prevent his falling. He was carried by friends into the counting room, and Drs. Hudson and Keller being summoned, bled him profusely and by the use of other remedies restored him to consciousness.
As we go to press we learn that he is very much better, and will be sent to his home this afternoon in a carriage.
