Reward offered

January 1, 1969 — The mountain cottage of Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Gillet on Route 675 at the top of the Massanutten was ransacked by burglars a few days before Christmas. Property loss included 18 rugs, appliances of various kinds and other household items and was estimated at $2,000. A reward of $200 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the guilty parties.

The Gillets live at Glendon, Md. The Page County Sheriff ’s Office is investigating the case. There are several clues but no arrests have been made at this time, the sheriff ’s office reported. Sheriff Kenneth Kerkhoff said the break-in was discovered Dec. 26 and that entrance was gained through a broken window.
