Rights to ‘church envelope book’ sold

HISTORY-Lee highway builders

October 30, 1890 — Mr. M.M. Hitt, who a few months ago invented a church envelope book, has recently sold at a handsome price the rights to a party of gentlemen in the south, who will manufacture it upon an extensive scale, and place it up on the market throughout the country. The work before sale had been exhibited to and received the highest commendation and approval of the Baptist Publication Society, the Methodist, Lutheran German Reformed, and other Publication Boards of Philadelphia. It is quite an original idea, and will doubtless become very popular among all church members who desire to adopt systemic methods as to their benevolences.
