Shenandoah drug store sold

June 27, 1962 — Mrs. W.E. Hisey and H.C. Hisey Sr. have sold their drug store in Shenandoah to Dr. C.E. and Mrs. Jean Bodell as of June 1, 1962. Mrs. Bodell will be pharmacist manager. Mr. Hisey will continue employment also as a pharmacist by the new owners. Miss Annie Atwood and Mrs. Frances Comer will continue as clerks for Mrs. Bodell.

Mrs. Bodell, who is an experienced pharmacist and a graduate of the Medical College of Virginia, was formerly employed as a pharmacist at the McKim and Huffman Drug Store in Luray.

Hisey’s Pharmacy was opened at the close of World War I by W.E. and H.C. Hisey, veterans of service in that war. This well-known drug store has been in operation for 43 years, giving day and night service to the people of Page and Rockingham counties.
