Mara Meisel shares knowledge as naturalist and national park ranger

SHENANDOAH — Long-time resident of the Town of Shenandoah, naturalist, and retired Shenandoah National Park Ranger, Mara Meisel, will talk about butterflies that people can find around town and how they can help to encourage them on their property during an April presentation at the Town of Shenandoah Museum.

On Saturday, April 18, the Museum will be hosting Meisel, who plans to show slides of many butterfly species and discuss connections between them, flowers, and caterpillar host plants. Seeds of plants that attract butterflies will be given out (while supplies last).

This is a free event and starts at 2 p.m.

The Town of Shenandoah Museum is located at 507 First Street.
