QUICKSBURG, Sept. 27 — Page County High School senior running back Kenseth Tharp had a big night on Friday for the Panthers, scoring three touchdowns on the road against the Generals of Stonewall Jackson.
Tharp would finish the night with 78 yards on 14 carries (5.6 ypc). The senior punched the ball in the end zone from 1-yard out twice in the first half on Friday, and then ended the game with a 32-yard breakaway run to cap the Bull Run District road win at 27-12.
The Page County Panthers have now stacked up back-to-back wins to even out the 2024-2025 season at .500. After an 0-2 start at home with lop-sided losses to Bath and East Rockingham, Page has now picked up two road wins — narrowly defeating King & Queen Sept. 20.
An opportunity for a third-straight victory comes to Buddy Comer Stadium on Friday night, Oct. 4, when winless Rocktown (0-4) hits Panthers Field to take on Page County (2-2). Kickoff is 7 p.m.
