Thomas William Harrington, 88, of Luray, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024, at Skyview Springs Rehab and Nursing Center.
He was born on August 27, 1935, in Washington, D.C., and was a son of the late Thomas Joseph Harrington and Florence Nelson Harrington.
Thomas worked as a buildings manager for the Federal Government. Tom was a career civil servant, whose work for the Federal Government included managing CIA Headquarters in Langley and the Pentagon. Tom helped to form the Lazy River Estates Association and served as its president for many years. Additionally, Tom was the president of the Federal Managers Association. He was a member of the Page County Crime Solvers and the Adopt-a-Highway program.
On April 4, 1986, Thomas married Priscilla Mary Prucnal Harrington, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, David Harrington and wife Wendy Shang of Falls Church, Cheri Harrington and husband Ajay Nath of Falls Church, and James Harrington and wife Melinda “Mindy” Harrington of McLean; three stepdaughters, Patricia Riek and husband Jon Bauer of San Francisco, CA, Sharon Blisick of Powhatan, and Donna German and husband Fred German of Mount Sidney; seven grandsons, Charles German, William German, Bryan Harrington, Jason Harrington, Hayden Blisick, Garrett Blisick and Nolan Blisick; six granddaughters, Kaylin Harrington, Madelyn “Maddie” Harrington, Anjali Nath, Eliza Harrington, Katharine “Kate” Harrington and Jaya Nath; and his beloved pet, Twiggy.
Family will privately celebrate Tom’s life at his beloved home in Lazy River Estates.
Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
