June 30, 1965 — Three young Stanley men were found guilty of robbery with violence Thursday of last week by a Page County Circuit Court jury. Each drew a $500 fine and costs. The three, were charged with taking a pistol and $46 from Thomas T. Troy after hitting him over the head early Friday morning, May 7.
Troy, who operated a service station and restaurant on Route 340 near Alma, said the three came into his restaurant about 2 a.m. with a pint of whiskey and offered him a drink. In conflicting testimony the defendants claimed they came into the restaurant and bought a pint of whiskey.
