STAUNTON — The following is a list of Page County highway work that may affect traffic in the Staunton transportation district during the coming weeks.

The Staunton District consists of 11 counties from the Alleghany Highlands to the northern Shenandoah Valley: Alleghany, Bath, Rockbridge, Highland, Augusta, Rockingham, Page, Shenandoah, Frederick, Clarke and Warren.

Scheduled work is subject to change due to inclement weather and material supplies. Motorists are advised to watch for slow-moving tractors during mowing operations. When traveling through a work zone, be alert to periodic changes in traffic patterns and lane closures.

PRIMARY ROADS

*NEW* Route 340 – Flagger traffic control between Route 662 (Rileyville Road) and Route 699 (Johnnys Road) for inspection of bridge over Jeremiahs Run, 8 a.m. to 12 noon Tuesday.

*NEW* Route 340 – Flagger traffic control between Route 613 (Strole Farm Road) and Route 685 (Newport Road) for inspection of bridge over Cub Run, 12 noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday.

*NEW* Route 340 Business – Flagger traffic control between Stanley town limits and Route 616 (Leaksville Road) for utility work, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

Various roads – Mobile traffic control for mowing operations. Flagger traffic control for pipe replacement, ditch work, tree removal, shoulder repairs, pavement patching and brush cutting, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays.

SECONDARY ROADS

Route 602 (Comertown Road) – Flagger traffic control between Route 719 (Ninth Street, Shenandoah) and Route 603 (Fleeburg Road) for overhead utility work, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Thursday.

Various roads – Flagger traffic control for brush cutting and pipe cleaning, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays.
