Bracken and Pence take first place at Generals Lady’s Dominator

QUICKSBURG, Dec. 6 — The Page County High School wrestling team got the 2025-26 season underway on Saturday, Dec. 6 when they sent three female grapplers to the Generals Lady’s Dominator at Stonewall Jackson High School. Two Panthers walked away from the invitational wrestling tournament after having reached the top of the podium.

“I was happy for the girl grapplers,” said PCHS head wrestling coach Greg Martin. “‘Birthday’ [Bri] Bracken goes 3-0 in the 120-pound class, all three wins came by pin, and all were pins in the first period.”

Kayla Pence (below) wrestling in the 138-pound class was just as dominant,” said Coach Martin, “as she went 3-0, all pins in the first period.”

Casey Bailey, wrestling in her first match at the 145-pound class, went 0-2. She lost by decision in her first match and got pinned in her second match to eliminate her from competition.

The Panthers next wrestling match will Thursday, Dec 18, back in Quicksburg at Stonewall Jackson High School.
