November 12, 1987 — Luray town crewmen had a snowy greeting Wednesday morning as they placed flags along Main Street in observance of Veterans Day.
By mid-morning about three inches of the season’s first snow had covered the ground in the Luray area. To the south, snow was reported somewhat heavier.
Page County schools closed at 11 a.m. as snow continued to accumulate.
