Weekly YouTube show dives into various issues, sites and events in the Page Valley

By Randy Arrington

LURAY, April 8 — This week we sit down with Executive Director Lisa Herbaugh and Board of Directors Chairman Kelly Swartzlander to talk about the many services offered by Choices Council on Domestic Violence for Page County and its upcoming third annual gala Denim and Diamonds from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, April 17 at Big Oak Manor and Ranch.

We’ll talk about how you can still get tickets to the gala (hurry, deadline is approaching), activities during the event, how to volunteer and how to donate to help dozens of women and children throughout Page County. In recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we talk about the struggles this organization faces, as well as share a heart-warming success story.

What should you do if you are in danger from domestic violence or sexual assault?

Please call Choices at (540) 743-4414.

(Page Valley Livin’~Episode 112 was recorded Wednesday, April 8, and aired Wednesday, April 8, 2026).

Coming up on Page Valley Livin’… we’ll visit Luray’s annual Youth Trout Derby, and discuss upcoming local events planned around the 250th anniversary of our nation.

The aim and purpose of these videos is to provide more information about more things that make up the wonderful place we call the Page Valley of Virginia. Serious issues will be handled seriously, while lighter issues may offer more opportunity to have some fun. There is no theme or agenda other than promoting the Page Valley, and trying to better inform the people who both live here and those who love to visit.
