Weekly YouTube show dives into various issues, sites and events in the Page Valley

LURAY, March 4 — This week we preview the first-ever Co-Ed Alumni Hoops Game featuring former players and coaches from both Luray and Page County High Schools. The game is set for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7 and will provide a variety of activities, giveaways, free fried chicken (first 100 people) and a chance to win a 55-inch flatscreen TV.

We’ll talk with LHS alum Sarah Getz and PCHS alum Laney (Corbin) Hasse about their experiences with the Bulldog-Panther rivalry as former standout athletes and now teachers, and what they expect from Saturday’s event. We’ll also review the long list of events planned for the day, the rosters of both alumni teams, and how the whole project was funded by a VDOE grant to build better communities.

Coming up on Page Valley Livin’… we’ll discuss upcoming local events planned around the 250th anniversary of our nation, and plans for a warm weather youth football league.

The aim and purpose of these videos is to provide more information about more things that make up the wonderful place we call the Page Valley of Virginia. Serious issues will be handled seriously, while lighter issues may offer more opportunity to have some fun. There is no theme or agenda other than promoting the Page Valley, and trying to better inform the people who both live here and those who love to visit.
