Weekly YouTube show dives into various issues, sites and events in the Page Valley
By Randy Arrington
LURAY, Feb. 5 — This week we sit down with Luray Town Manager Bryan Chrisman to discuss the Water Conservation Request that was issued by the Town on Jan. 27. On Monday afternoon the voluntary and temporary request was lifted as multiple problems causing lower volume and lower pressure had been addressed.
Sub-freezing temperatures in late January lead to several cracks in 4-inch water lines throughout town. We’ll talk about what town staff — who fixed all the problems in-house — had to deal with during that period, and what Luray’s water and sewer systems look like in terms of handling potential growth anticipated over the next decade.
(Page Valley Livin’ ~ Episode 56 was recorded on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025 and first aired on Wednesday, Feb. 5).
Coming up on Page Valley Livin’… we’ll feature two basketball coaches that are getting pretty excited about the hoops postseason. PCHS head coach Tyler Parker is scheduled for our Feb. 12 show — the day of the county rivalry game at Luray (we may release the video early) — and LHS head coach Matt Huff is scheduled for our Feb. 19 show.
The aim and purpose of these videos is to provide more information about more things that make up the wonderful place we call the Page Valley of Virginia. Serious issues will be handled seriously, while lighter issues may offer more opportunity to have some fun. There is no theme or agenda other than promoting the Page Valley, and trying to better inform the people who both live here and those who love to visit.
