Weekly YouTube show dives into various issues, sites and events in the Page Valley
By Randy Arrington
LURAY, Dec. 11 — This week we sit down with a fifth grader from Stanley Elementary who will soon be making her first trip to Florida as a member of the All American Softball Youth tournament. Raevyn Buracker of Stanley is among 108 players from all across the country invited to this prestigious tournament in which nine teams of 12 players each will face off Jan. 2-5 in Panama City Beach.
“I’m truly excited about Raevyn’s opportunity to showcase her talent and dedication at the Softball Youth All American Tournament. Any team or event would be fortunate to have someone as dedicated, talented, and inspiring as Raevyn,” stated Jason Frazier, the head coach of Raevyn’s travel team, HAVOC 10-U. Frazier nominated Buracker for the All American tournament by submitting her stats and a video.
“When Raevyn joined our team, she quickly became one of our top hitters, showcasing her ability to consistently connect with the ball and deliver game-changing hits. Her drive and determination on the field were matched by her huge heart off the field. Raevyn genuinely cares about those around her, building relationships that reflect her compassionate and selfless character,” Coach Frazier said. “Coaching Raevyn was not just a rewarding experience — it was one of the greatest adventures I’ve had in my coaching journey. Her passion for the game and her positive energy were contagious, and I have no doubt that she is destined to go far in her softball career.”
We’ll talk with Raevyn about her love of the game, what she expects in Florida after New Year’s Day, and her dream to play for Hall of Fame Coach Alan Knight as a member of the Page County Panthers.
We also take a look at the “week that was” in the Page Valley with a review of news headlines and sports, while also taking a look at “the weekend ahead” with upcoming events in the Page Valley.

Coming up on Page Valley Livin’… we’ll focus in on the Christmas holiday and explore other issues and upcoming events in the county.
The aim and purpose of these videos is to provide more information about more things that make up the wonderful place we call the Page Valley of Virginia. Serious issues will be handled seriously, while lighter issues may offer more opportunity to have some fun. There is no theme or agenda other than promoting the Page Valley, and trying to better inform the people who both live here and those who love to visit.
