LHS sophomore playing a key role on varsity squad
Although we’ve already stated this several times this season, Vile is the most improved player on the LHS volleyball team from her freshman campaign a year ago. She is playing a key role as a sophomore and is among a sophomore class that makes up eight of the 12 players on the varsity squad. Vile’s big smile and positive energy are as entertaining to watch has her abilities at the net.
After suffering two losses at home last week to the Bull Run’s top two teams, the Bulldogs rebounded Tuesday night with a hard-fought win on the road at Strasburg, 3-2. Luray has made quite a comeback on the season after opening at 0-6 against larger schools. As of Oct. 5, the Bulldogs were ranked No. 3 in the Region 1B standings.
Next up, Luray (6-3,6-9) travels to Madison County (6-3, 9-5) on Thursday night, Oct. 9 for a 7:15 p.m. start.
