February 10, 1966 — W.H. Cook, manager of the Walled Lake Door plant at Stanley, stated this week that the company plans an addition at Stanley of approximately 20,000 sq. ft. of floor space. The proposed area would accommodate additional storage and manufacturing space, he said.
The Walled Lake Door Company, manufacturers of numerous designs of flush doors and frames, built the Stanley plant in 1959. Floor area of the original structure is 120,000 sq. ft.
The present plant employs about 40 persons and additional employees will be needed with the added facilities. Cook stated that building activity would commence when satisfactory arrangements could be made with contractors.
