Age 49, Stanley, Va.
Wayne Trenton Good, 49, of Stanley, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, at Page Memorial Hospital. He was born on October 6, 1974, in Harrisonburg and was a son of the late Carlton Larry Good, Sr. and Sandra K. Good. Wayne was a graduate of Page County High School, Class of 1992. He worked for Molson Coors for over 17 years.
On May 18, 2019, Wayne married his “Doll”, Tracy Crawford Good, who survives. Surviving in addition to his wife is his daughter, Tressa Ryleigh Good, who was his pride and joy and a step-daughter, Brooke Grimsley, both of Stanley; a brother, Larry Good and wife Michelle of Stanley; nieces, Meagen Tester (Brandon; Oakley, Scarlett, and Lane), Lara Williams (Trevor) and Kaylee Good; special cousins, Connie Moyer and husband Max of Southampton, PA, and Shirley Fleharty and husband Butch of Luray.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Phoebe and Richard Comer, Pauline and Leon Good, and special aunt and uncle, Isabelle (Aunt Teeny) and Nelson Gochenour, and a step-daughter, Lauren Andrews.
Wayne was a jokester, fun to be around and a family man. He never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face with his eyes sparkling with mischief. Many of his co-workers have shared that he kept them entertained and made their days brighter with his joking and caring, outgoing personality. He was a friend to all and would give you the shirt off his back. He liked the simple things in life, loved traditions and old fashioned ways.
Wayne had a passion for muscle cars and old cars in general and loved his antiques. He was an avid cook and enjoyed trying out new recipes that many times he would take to work to share with the guys or take to friend and family gatherings.
Wayne was an icon and a legend in the sport of derbying. He not only loved the sport but he shared his knowledge with others and helped his friends with their cars as well. He was a competitor to be reckoned with when “Ole 151 Hard Times Smasher” pulled onto the track. When he entered the ring, he loved hearing the roar of his fans, with his “Tressa Ryleigh Baby” being his biggest and most cherished fan. Wayne left this life living his passion with his heart “wide open” and “his foot on the pedal”, doing exactly what he loved.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, at the Calvary Independent Church in Stanley by Pastor Josh Parlett. A time of sharing will follow at South Fork Barn in Stanley.
