Age 90, Luray, Va.
William “Bill” Benjamin Harris Jr., 90, of Luray, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025.
He was born on January 26, 1935, in Williamston, NC, and was a son of the late William Benjamin Harris Sr. and Virginia Leah Hardison Harris.
Bill was a veteran of the United States Army. He had worked as lab supervisor at Page Memorial Hospital for 40 years and was a member of the Beth Eden Lutheran Church in Luray.
On July 27, 1962, he married Priscilla Smith Harris, who died on July 6, 2025.
Bill is survived by a daughter, Claudette Williams and husband Larry of Matthews, NC; a sister, Barbara Harris of Matthews, NC; three grandchildren, Lauren Yoworski and husband Hayden of Wilmington, NC, and Jansen Tabor and Caroline Tabor, both of Charlotte, NC; one great-grandchild, Henry Yoworski of Wilmington, NC; two nephews, Michael Baker and Eugene Roberson; a niece, Beth Cameron; and several great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Roberson.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, at the Bradley Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 15, at the Beth Eden Lutheran Church by the Rev. Sandra Wisco. Burial will be in the Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
