Age 89, Shenandoah, Va.
William Henry “Bill” Hall, 89, of Shenandoah, passed away Monday, June 2, 2025 at Winchester Medical Center. He was born February 12, 1936 in Washington, D.C. and was the son of the late Julian Donaldson Hall and Hilda Louise (Garner) Hall.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Lee (Fritter) Hall; twin brother, Robert Hall; sister, Mary Bunch.
Bill was an avid baseball fan; he loved the Washington Nationals and Orioles. His favorite football team was the Washington Redskins. He worked for 43 years at Sport Chevrolet in Silver Spring, Maryland before retiring. Bill enjoyed sitting on the front porch smoking a cigar with his Grove Hill Buddies, Jerry, David and Jay Foltz. He would catch up on the local gossip at Kites store with his friends, Sylvia Deavers, Wendy Williams and Terry Knowles and the rest of the girls in the store. If he couldn’t come in, he would beep the horn and they would bring his food out to him. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his son, Chris Hall and wife, Pam; daughters, Cindy Good, Vicki Daugherty and husband, Charlie; grandchildren, Shannon Brown, Kristy Good, Dusty Daugherty, Tiffany Hilliards, Travis Good, Christopher Hall, Montana Alger; great-grandchildren, Jayden Taylor, Chandler Sampson, Brantley Rhinehart, Elias Cluver, Grayson Good; special friends, Raynard Good, Tina Staples, Pat Shifflett and Gary Rife.
A Funeral Service will be conducted 11 a.m., Monday, June 9, 2025 at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton with Pastor Doug Gochenour officiating. Burial to follow at Leake’s Chapel Cemetery in Stanley.
Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, June 9, 2025 at the funeral home prior to the service.
