November 22, 1989 — Five Page County pubic school educators who retired after the 1988-89 school year were recognized during an American Education Week open house at the Page County School Board office in Luray last week.
Honored for service totaling 164 years were:
- Lewis W. Aleshire, 32 years in education with 15 years as school division attendance coordinator;
- Nancy Shuler Keyser, 32 years with 20 years as school division elementary supervisors;
- and teachers, Wanda B. Kibler, 40 years;
- Barbara W. Shenk, 32 years;
- and Edward L. Boyden, 28 years.
Each was presented an engraved silver tray by Page County School Superintendent James M. Campbell, who praised the dedication and service of the retirees.
