May 5, 1887 — The Superintendent of the Poor Mr. John W. Phillips directs us to state that he has quite a number of children at the County Alms House for whom he would be glad to secure homes among our people.
To take these children with a view to train them up properly and make useful men and women of them is indeed a work of Christian charity.
We hope any of our citizens who can furnish them homes will not be long to apply to Mr. Phillips.
