Age 89, Luray, Va.
Anna Mae Comer Strickler, born August 21, 1936, passed away October 30, 2025, at Skyview Springs Nursing and Rehab after a long battle with dementia, now resting quietly with the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman Lee Comer and Mamie Virginia Housden Comer; four brothers, Ralph Douglas Comer, Joseph Henry Comer, Ronald Lee Comer and Sherman Lee Comer Jr.; a son, Craig Allen Strickler; and her husband, Leo Luther Strickler Jr.
Anna is survived by a son, David Blair Strickler (estranged), and Leo Jay Strickler, living in the family home in Luray with her. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Daniel Mathias Strickler, Shaun Anthony Strickler and Kristi Smith; as well as several great-grandchildren, cousins, nephews and nieces.
Anna worked at the Page County office building after high school, as a clerk at Southern States and Montgomery Ward. She turned pockets at Blue Bell (Wrangler), and also worked at Panorama Realty, as a greeter and cashier at Walmart, and as an office secretary at Luray Caverns. She was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church in Luray.
Service information will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Main Street Baptist Church or to a church of choice.
Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
