Annabelle Foltz Short, 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, on April 30, 2021.
Annabelle was born on September 24, 1934, in the Mill Creek section of Page County, Va., to the late Carson and Clara Sours Foltz.
On August 19, 1961, she married Glenwood Short of Luray, who survives.
Annabelle worked at the Luray Textile Plant for 25 years and at Luray Caverns for 10 years. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Broadway, Va., and the Billy Graham Association.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two children, Greg Housden and wife Lois, and Vicki Huffman and husband Edwin, all of Luray; three grandchildren, Jason Housden of Virginia Beach, and Dwayne and Jeremy Huffman, both of Luray; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lynwood Foltz.
In 2000, Annabelle and her husband moved to New Market, Va., from Luray. In 2002, Chyaine and Chloe Reynolds of Edinburg, Va., adopted her for their grandmother, and Annabelle helped raise them.
The graveside service will be private with burial at the Stanley Advent Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
