Annie graduated from Stanley High School in 1956, where she played basketball and also was selected as queen of the Stanley Homecoming.
After high school graduation, Annie attended Madison College and graduated in 1960 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She dedicated her life to teaching, serving 30 years in Page County Public Schools, retiring in 1991. Even after retiring, she served almost daily as a substitute teacher until 2007. She remained an active member of the Page County Retired Teachers Association as well.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Seal, husband Cheston Seal, and her granddaughter and pride and joy, Camilla Elise Seal, all of Luray.
Annie was an avid fan of the Virginia Cavaliers, and attended numerous football and basketball games with her daughter and extended friends. She also enjoyed watching any athletic event, reading, working crossword puzzles, and talking with anyone she knew in Page County and beyond. She knew no stranger.
Annie was a member of the Morning Star Lutheran Church and previously attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shenandoah, VA.
She was very passionate about animals and you would often hear her say she wished she could provide a good home for each and every animal in the world.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at the Bradley Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 7, by Pastor Josh Parlett.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Page County Animal Shelter or animal charity of choice. Annie loved her stray dogs, Bassett Hounds, Otterhounds, and any other animal showing up on Luray Avenue needing love or attention.

Cathy and family,
I am so sorry for the passing of Annie. She was always a pleasure to be around on the family gatherings. May God bless and keep you all in his care.
