Arvella Louise McCoy, 71, of Stanley, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023, at Winchester Medical Center.
She was born on April 6, 1952, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late Charles William Good and Jane Knott.
Arvella worked as a machine operator for the Genie Company in Shenandoah for 40 years.
On November 12, 1969, she married Elvie Lee McCoy Sr., who survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Elvie Lee McCoy Jr. of Stanley; a daughter, Teresa Ann Gray of Stanley; a sister, Karen Campbell of Stanley; two brothers, Douglas Theodore Good and Gary William Good, both of Stanley; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel Eugene Good and Bobby Edward Good; and a sister, Elizabeth Ann McCoy.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 15, at the Leake’s Chapel Cemetery in Stanley by Roger Gochenour and Pastor Earl Painter.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, at the Bradley Funeral Home.
