December 31, 1992 — “Local boy makes good.” California, here he comes.” “Mr. Beahm goes to San Diego.” “Hollywood or Bust.”
These could all be headlines at the top of a small-town newspaper to describe the life of former Luray High School music instructor David Beahm.
Beahm, 31, a Luray native, will make his television debut in January in the “crime-time after prime time” series, “Silk Stalkings.”
The show is on both CBS-TV and the USA Network.
Beahm, who is attending San Diego State University, recently landed a guest starring role as Arthur, a butler of one of the rich and famous. He appears in three scenes and has two lines.
A graduate student at SDSU, he has made connections in the entertainment industry since his arrival in California 15 months ago, mainly due to his devotion to his field of study — musical theatre.
