Bernard Ottobine “Shorty” Short Jr., 82, of Harrisonburg, died on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021, at Accordius Health at Harrisonburg.
Mr. Short was born on Dec. 16, 1938, in Page County and was a son of the late Bernard Ottobine Short and Beatrice Virginia Stroupe Short.
He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Campbell of Shenandoah; two sons, David Short of Luray, and Timothy Short of Virginia; two sisters, Mabel Susan Kinzie of Daleville, and Elizabeth Alls of Roanoke; and three brothers, John Phillip Short of Fairfax, Larry Short of Penn Laird, and Max Short of Shenandoah.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Hammond.
Services are planned for a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
