Age 70, Elkton, Va.
Bonnie Lou Sponaugle, 70, of Elkton, passed away February 27, 2024 in Penn Laird. Mrs. Sponaugle was born March 26, 1953 in Auto, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Larmon Benton “Ben” Wingler and Wilsie Loudermilk Wingler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Bonnie was a member of Bible Holiness Church in Elkton. She loved her grandchildren and loved reading books. Bonnie has lived in the area for over 40 years and will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Sponaugle is survived by sons, Matt Sponaugle and wife, Evelyn of Shenandoah, Phil Sponaugle and wife, Leah of Elkton, John Sponaugle of Weyers Cave; brothers, Cecil Wingler and Tommy Wingler; sisters, Anna Hutchinson, Betty Wingler, Carol Workman, Virginia Sponaugle and husband, Roger; grandchildren, Bethany Sponaugle, Alyssa Sponaugle, Caleb Sponaugle, Kaylee Sponaugle and Micah Sponaugle.
A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Bible Holiness Church,127 Pine St. Elkton, Virginia. Burial to follow at Elk Run Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2024 at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton, Va.
