Boyd Wendell Green Sr., 72, of Luray, died on Sunday, July 12, 2020.
He was born on May 2, 1948, in Luray and was a son of Ada Good Green of Luray and the late John Franklin Green.
Mr. Green was a veteran of the U.S. Army, retiring as a Staff Sergeant with 20 years of service.
On Nov. 21, 1992, he married Renita Yvette Washington Green, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his mother and his wife are two sons, Kedric and Boyd Green Jr., both of Louisiana; a stepdaughter, Yalonda Sturtevant of North Carolina; a stepson, Kevin Clark of West Virginia; a brother, Dale Green of Oklahoma; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kirk and Karl Green.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, at the Blainesville Cemetery in Luray by Pastor Stephanie Callwood.
The Bradley Funeral Home will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, July 17, for viewing and to sign the register book.
