Carolyn Elizabeth Keyser Cubbage

Age 70, Stanley, Va.

On Monday, June 30, 2025, Carolyn Elizabeth Keyser Cubbage went home to meet Jesus. With her family surrounding her, she said her goodbyes and now rests joyfully in the loving arms of our Savior.

Born in Stanley, VA, on November 2, 1954, she was the proud and youngest child of Owen and Florence Keyser.

Carolyn was born and raised in Stanley and graduated from Page County High School. She later met and fell in love with her husband, Nelson, whom she married on January 17, 1976. She had several jobs over the years, but nothing meant more to her than taking care of her family. Together, they raised their children in a loving and Christian home.

Carolyn was a proud mom and homemaker for many years, one that her children were proud of. She spent much of her time loving her family and her church family. There you would find her teaching, volunteering, cleaning and singing alongside her husband and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Nelson, who cared for her and has shown his family just what true love is; her children, Sheryl Cubbage, Jeremy Cubbage and wife Alicia, April Judd and husband Chris, Patrick Cubbage and wife Kristin, and Jonathan Cubbage and wife Mary, who will continue to honor her memory; her grandchildren, Hannah and Mason Cubbage, Abby Cubbage, Bailey and Carmen Judd, Bentley Abbot and Jaiden Cubbage; and her siblings, Wanda Keyser and husband Jerry, Sylvia Jenkins and husband Billy, and Jerrold Keyser.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Florence, and many other loved ones.

Those, along with her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, church family and friends will miss her and long for her until they see her again. She will be remembered as a praying woman who loved her family and loved her Jesus.

Her family is so grateful for all the friends and family that have supported, prayed and shown love. But even more, her family is grateful to their father and her husband, Nelson, who was by her side always loving and taking care of her. Thank you all!

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, at Hilliard Chapel Assembly of God in Stanley.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, at the church. Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Luray.

Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
