Charles Nelson Stroupe, 85, of Luray, Va. died Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Skyview Springs Nursing & Rehab in Luray, Va.
Son of the late George Grigsby and Sally Edna (Higgs) Stroupe, he was born March 13, 1935, in Luray, Va.
Charlie was a member of the Page Valley Baptist Church, and he managed the NAPA Auto Parts store in Luray for over 40 years, retiring in 2000.
He married Barbara (Lucas) Stroupe on June 22 1956, who survives.
He is also survived by son Charles G. “Chuckie” Stroupe of Luray, Va.; granddaughter Lindsay Stroupe and fiance Allen Eye of Harrisonburg, Va.
He was preceded in death by sisters June Estelle Wilson, A. Christine Shenk, Betty Lee Dovel, Gladys Marie Good, Louise Virginia Hilliard, Elsie Elaine Rickard, and F. Maxine Stroupe, and brothers Siford Eugene Stroupe and Tommy Wayne Stroupe.
A funeral service will be held at The Bradley Funeral Home on Monday, December 7, 2020 at 2 p.m.
Burial will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, in Luray, Va.
