Christmas in Stanley features parade, tree lighting, music, treats and Santa

STANLEY, Dec. 4 — Today officially kicks off the Christmas season in Stanley with a full lineup of holiday activities that are sure to instill the holiday spirit in all who attend.

A large vendor show will take place at the Stanley Fire Department from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. Volunteers with the fire department will be selling apple butter until 2 p.m.

Christmas in Stanley continues with the annual parade at 6 p.m. featuring numerous entries, including marching bands and Santa Claus himself.

Following the parade, Jolly ‘Ole Saint Nick will then head down to Ed Good Park for photos and to pass out free chocolate-covered popcorn. Festivities at the park get underway about 7:30 p.m. with a tree lighting ceremony and holiday music provided by the Page County High School Band and Choir, as well as other local performers.
