Age 87, Rileyville, Va.
Peacefully, Cleo Marston Weatherman, 87, of Rileyville, entered her eternal rest on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Skyview Springs Nursing and Rehab in Luray.
She was born on March 12, 1937, in Luray to the late Edward and Olga Marston.
On July 11, 1956, she married the love of her life, James David Weatherman Sr., who prececed her in death on March 28, 2014. They began their married life with Jimmy’s loving mother, Elinor Weatherman, at the homeplace in Rileyville.
Surviving are two sons, J.D. (Theresa) Weatherman and Ken Wade (Lisa) Weatherman of Luray; three grandchildren, Kenedy and Klayton Weatherman of Luray, and John Weatherman of Dale City; a sister-in-law, Becky Strawderman of Luray; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Keith Reid Weatherman, who died on May 21, 2017.
Cleo was the youngest girl of 12 children. She is survived by a brother, Kenneth (Thelma) Marston of Luray. She was preceded in death by 10 siblings, Hilda Burner, Evelyn Woodward, Junior Marston, Elaine Moyer, Bell Griffith, Eleanor Gochenour, Muriel Williams, Nancy Cave, Doug Marston and Donnie Marston.
Cleo spent time making quilts, reading and working jigsaw puzzles. She dearly loved her grandchildren and enjoyed weekends, holidays, birthdays, and other special events spending time with them.
A graveside service to celebrate Cleo’s life will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Luray by Garland “Bubba” Gochenour.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 on Wednesday, April 17, at the Bradley Funeral Home.
