Close call at the tannery

Luray panoramic

July 26, 1891 — A close call was made last Saturday on a young man named Theodore Murdock, aged about 15, the water carrier at the Tannery. He was caught between two cars while crossing the track on his way to the pump and pretty badly squeezed. His chest was bruised and one tooth was broken out, but Dr. Hudson, who attended him, thinks he will soon be all right.
